Questions of property in the goods in insolvency are outside the CISG’s scope of application and are, thus, not a matter governed by it. Although the CISG may rank higher than national law due to its status as an international Convention, it does not supersede national insolvency or property laws in this regard. Moreover, there is no indirect influence of the CISG by way of incidental questions.
